Max Eats

Well, we’re a still a few days shy of 6 months, but Max had his first solid food today!

Max showed all the signs of being ready. He watches every bite of food we take, everything goes to his mouth, he sits fairly well with help, etc. I’ll have the time this week to patiently and consistently give him food each day, and Keith was around today to take pictures. It just seemed like the right timing.

While we were all eating lunch today, I mashed up a tiny bit of banana left over from Alex’s breakfast and mixed that in with rice cereal & mama’s milk. It was NOT love at first bite, but Max came around.

Max probably only had about 10 small spoonfuls, but he did okay. Here’s the proof, in an adorable picture taken by Daddy.
