Mom, Come See What I Color

We were in the middle of making pizza for dinner, and we’d left the dough to rise.  The baby needed nursing, so I sat down at the computer to feed him.  I guess that was the big mistake…

I left Alex playing with his trucks at the kitchen table, which can usually occupy him forever.  A few minutes went by, though, and it got a little quiet.  I called out, “Everything okay, Alex?”  (As if he’s going to answer truthfully?!)

He ran into the office and said, “Mom, come see what I color!”

Wanna see his pretty picture?

I don’t keep crayons out, but I did leave the diaper bag within his reach…which had a few restaurant crayons in it.

Isn’t it pretty?  Thank goodness for Oxy-Clean!  We’re waiting for the covers to finish crying, but we think it all came out.

Thanks, Dad, for the suggestion to check Crayola’s website…and Mom for reminding me of the messes I made when I was Alex’s age ;)

Yep, that looks familiar. I don't normally leave crayons out either but my daughter managed to find some and this was her resulting artwork... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2761/4438335628_c65545a052.jpg Aren't kids great? Unfortunately, our daughter's artwork didn't come clean like your Picaso's artwork.

I just realized it might be hard to see what that is in the picture. That would be our big screen television.

Did you mean to say that you were waiting for the covers to finish crying? It made me laugh and wonder if that was a subliminal message saying Alex was crying about what he did once mommy helped him realize it was wrong. ;-)

Ha! That's really funny, Allison! I meant drying, but crying is pretty amusing! I think I'll just leave my mistake ;)
