Since Danielle & Jesse got married in the Dells area, we decided to stay a few extra days. Keith’s company offers us a $500 incentive for having an annual physical & bloodwork, so we used that money (& a discounted hotel rate) to spend two nights at Great Wolf Lodge.
On Monday morning, we checked out of the hotel where we had stayed during the wedding. We headed to Great Northern Railway, where they have a small train shop with a Thomas track setup. All 3 of our kids enjoyed this! We also rode their 3 mile (round trip) train ride pulled by a miniature steam engine.
After our train ride, the kids enjoyed this little miniature choo-choo.
After that, in keeping with our train theme, we took the kids to Buffalo Phil’s for lunch. They have little trains to deliver your food to your table. Of course, the boys loved that!
They also have dorky hats. This one got passed all around the table ;)
After lunch, we went back to the hotel for naps, swimming, and water slides!
Here’s Alex, playing on his LeapPad…in the dark…with his new sunglasses on.
The next morning, we met my sister Diane and her family (they live nearby) and my sister Donna & her family (they were staying at Diane’s house) for breakfast.
Later in the day, we went to Knuckleheads. Be sure to go on a Tuesday! Everything is cheaper! We bought a $20 card, and we only used about half of what was on it in over 2 hours. We gave the remainder to my sister’s kids since they live in the area.
The boys tried out the jumping pillow and the climbing structure/ball area. The balls were a LOT of fun, and the boys spent the majority of their time just playing in there. Jensyn squealed and cried to ride this train, which she did…and she loved it!
Daddy put Jensyn on a lot of little rides while Mommy watched the boys in the play structure. My camera batteries were dead, so Daddy took all these pictures with his iPod.
My sister Diane & her family live nearby, so they sweetly offered to take the kids for an evening while Keith and I went out for dinner. The kids really enjoyed the time with their aunt, uncle, and cousins. Keith & I enjoyed a chance to eat dinner in peace, go on a few of the bigger waterslides together, and have a milkshake at Culvers.
The waterpark pictures are from random moments throughout our two days there…
I didn’t know Keith was taking pictures…
We are QUITE blessed that we were able to take a trip to Pigeon Forge *and* spend a few days in the Dells this summer. SPOILED, that’s what we were this summer :)

What a great time! We 've taken our student home boys to the great wolf lodge but not our own little guys -we'd sure love to though!
