When I first began making tot packs for my oldest, I went through a lot of clear contact paper. It took FOREVER to set papers carefully on the contact paper, back it with another piece of contact paper, and then cut it out.
After 6 months of this, I realized that a home laminator would probably really come in handy. The Scotch Laminator was highly recommended on several homeschool websites, so I asked for that as a Christmas present. It’s funny what a mama wants for Christmas sometimes, isn’t it? :)
Our laminator has been very well loved for the past several years, and it’s still looking and working as well as the day I took it out of the box. I wouldn’t recommend it if we didn’t love it!
This laminator is often around $40 or more, but right now Amazon has it listed for $24.90. That includes 12 laminating pouches in various sizes. (Mine only came with 2 laminating pouches.)
As for refill laminating pouches, I always buy Universal brand pouches because they work just as well…and they’re usually a lot cheaper.
Right now, the Scotch refills are on sale as well!
So if you’ve been thinking about buying one, this might be the time to snatch up a great deal!
