Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa S

It’s still amazing me to me that we can find a way to get everyone (except Derek…) together for a family Christmas, considering the size of our family!  Derek was unable to get a Christmas leave from his base, so we won’t be seeing him for a while.  But we did get to call & sing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” to him!  See?

We started with a yummy dinner, followed by hanging out in the basement, where the grandkids get to open presents…
I missed out on a lot of pictures this year.  Sorry, nieces & nephews, but I figured it’s better to not post your unflattering pictures!

As usual, Justin had to open his presents without ripping any paper!

Jensyn wrapped Kathryn’s gift and wrote the names.  She was very proud of herself!

And this little guy brings such joy to the party!
Isn’t he adorable?!

Once all the kids have opened their gifts, we leave them with their new toys and head upstairs for a grown-up Christmas time (which is interrupted by kids, but still more peaceful).

Afterwards, it was on to yummy desserts…and no time for playing cards.  We’re hoping to get together sometime just for fun and playing games!
