*New* Community Helpers Preschool Pack

community helpers, preschool pack, police, fire, nurse, garbage

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve put together a preschool pack!  I received a special request from a faithful customer, and it prompted me to get going on a new pack.  Putting together a pack was actually a whole lot of fun; I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed this work!

Here are a few samples from the new Community Helpers preschool pack.  It’s mainly the pages you’ve seen before in other packs, but I did design a set of “Find and Stamp” pages for seven different community helpers.

Name Through The Year page (updated for 2015 - 2016)

These pages have been a fairly popular download from my site over the past few years.  I just had a request to update it for the 2015-2016 school year, so I made a quick date change.

It’s fun to watch your child’s handwriting improve and change throughout the school year, and these sheets provide you with a great spot to record that sweet handwriting for your scrapbooks!
CLICK HERE or on the image below to download the 2015-2016 file.
It should be a simple, automatic download.

Giveaway: Preschool Handwriting Practice pages

When I created the handwriting practice pages for my son, I figured it would be fun to list these in my shop.  I didn’t think many people would purchase these, but decided to list it anyway.

It turns out that these handwriting pages have become my #1 bestseller!

Never in a million years did I anticipate that such a simple design would be such a big seller, but these pages have been used in classrooms and homes around the world!  I’ve received emails and comments thanking me for creating these pages…all from just a simple, cute design that I whipped up for my (at the time) 4 year old!

Fruit Loop Olympics Rings

fruit loop olympic rings
We spent a little time this afternoon working on some Olympic-themed fun pages.  (If you’re still looking for something to do with your kiddos, I have a FREE Winter Olympics preschool pack in my Teachers Notebook store.)

I was lying awake in bed the other night, trying to think of a fun craft to go with our Olympic pages.  Then I remembered the fruit loops I’d bought for another project and realized they would make perfect Olympic Rings.  Well, here you go…a template to help your children glue them in the correct places.

(eating the orange loops!)

Be sure to take a minute to explain to your kiddos that the five Olympic Rings stand for the five areas of the world that participate in the Olympics!

You can download a pdf file of the Olympic Rings here.  It will print on 8.5x11 paper so it’s easy for your child to glue the cereal in the correct spots!

Preschool Printables In The Works…

Yes, I know that it has been FOREVER since anything new has been added to my shop!  I’ve had a harder time balancing everything this school year, and it hasn’t left as much free time for creating.  A few snowbound days at home has given me some time to finish up some packs and think about some new ones, and I’m hoping to squeeze in an hour here and there throughout the next few weeks.

There are three packs in the works:

1 – A Trip To The Dentist

I started this pack a YEAR ago at this time!  I used the partially-completed pack as a giveaway at that time, and now it is just about finished.  I have a few lovely ladies proofreading it this week, and I hope to have it in my shop by early next week at the latest.

2 – Dinosaur (which could use a more creative name, if you have any suggestions!)

Yes, yes…I started this one in the summer of 2013!  I am the queen of half-finished products, I guess!  I left it two-thirds finished, but I hope to have it done in another about 2 weeks.

3 – Winter Olympics!  This is a new one; graphics were just purchased on Monday.  I will make sure it’s available by February 1st at the very latest, even if it means setting the dinosaur pack on hold…again.

4 – A Trip Around The World - I haven’t yet figured out exactly how I am going to share this one.  I’m trying to think through some copyright issues before I’ll promise to sell this one in my store.  It is a work in progress, and it’s aimed at a slightly older age group.  I’ll be teaching this class to the kindergarten & first graders at our homeschool co-op.

We’ll be working through twelve countries around the world, learning a few words in each language (or a few English words unique to the particular country), finding the country on a map and a globe, learning about the flag of each country, doing an art project/craft for each country, learning a bit about the food they eat, etc.  I have to condense this to fit into twelve 45 minute class sessions.  (Yikes – only 45 minutes per country!)  I’m not sure how I will format this if I make it available as a download once it’s complete.

canada

So that’s what is happening here at the home of Little Monkey Printables!  I am hopeful that with a few little schedule changes, I can manage to finish the first three by mid-February at the latest.  Feel free to gently nudge me via email or Facebook if you’re waiting on one of these to be completed.  Don’t let me procrastinate…because I am obviously pretty good at that! Winking smile
