Books
The book we’re using (which both Alex & I REALLY enjoyed) is “White Owl, Barn Owl”. While it is a fictional story, it also contains many interesting owl facts on each page. The illustrations are just beautiful, too!
Owl Babies is another great book, and it’s one you’re likely to find in your local library.
I’d like to have this one on-hand for Max, but our library doesn’t have it. Isn’t it adorable? It’s interactive; you can slide the owl through the holes in the board book!
Poetry DLTK Kids has a printable owl poem available in color or black/white for your child to color.
The same website also offers printables to go along with the nursery rhyme “Five Little Owls”.
Crafts and Hands-On Activities
If you’re feeling brave, try dissecting owl pellets. (These are made of undigested food that the owl spits out; they are heat-sterilized.) You can buy them online for $2 - $4 at Carolina Biological.
If you’re feeling crafty, try one of these…
This cute owl is found at Amazing Preschool Activities
No Time For Flashcards – also has a song and reviews several owl books
Fun With Mama made these cute painted owls.
Kids in the Kitchen
Living Locurto has a recipe/craft for cute owl s’mores!
This ADORABLE owl sandwich and tree can be found at Cutest Food.
SPECIAL THANKS…
I’m so grateful to Belen at PixelPaperPrints Etsy store for giving me permission to use her graphics in this tot pack. These are some of the CUTEST owl graphics I found, and I really appreciate her generosity in allowing me to use them!
I also used a few graphics from DigiScrapKits. Thanks to Trina for allowing me to use these!
By the way, the only reason I include affiliate links in my tot pack posts is to {hopefully} get a bit of money to pay for the costs of the graphics that I use for tot packs. So far, I’ve earned a whopping $1.70 through affiliate links! ;)

Is it supposed to take forever to download? It says I need to wait for 500+ minutes.
Hi Miranda,
No, it should only take a minute or two at most.
I just replied to your profile e-mail address, and I sent you a zip file containing the Owl tot pack. If you didn't get the e-mail, let me know :)
Cute theme! Thanks for collecting all of these fun ideas.
I found a cute Owl cake in a parenting magazine! Here's the link to the webpage with directions. http://www.parenting.com/article/how-to-make-an-owl-birthday-cake I have to dissect an owl pellet for my biology course. I was so excited when I found this posted on moneysavingmom's site! Of course I need more motivation than a good grade to make it fun. I plan to do this tot pack with my 3 yr old, and we'll bake the cake after I dissect the pellet. Thanks for such a great pack!!! It's beautiful printed and laminated. :):)
thank you so much for this packet! I'm very excited to use with my 3-year-old twins!
thank you so much for the packet! I can't wait to use with my 3-yr-old twin boys!
This is adorable! thanks!
Used this pack this week! The girls loved it, they really enjoyed cutting the size owls out and gluing them onto paper. Daisy really loved the 10 part puzzle! Thanks again. Wonderful work!
I tried to save the additional owl activities so I could do them but it said I need the owner's password in order to save it. What can I do??
Hi Holly,
I've recently started changing the way I make the .pdf files. It should prevent you from making any changes/removing any graphics from the file, but it shouldn't affect how the file is saved on your computer.
When I try it on my end, it works just fine. I'd be curious to know if anyone else has had a problem with this.
I wish I could be of more help, but I can't replicate the problem :(
