Today at lunch Alex asked me when Jensyn is going to turn two. I told him, “Not for a long time. You and Max will have birthdays before Jensyn does.”
Alex said, “After Max is two, he will be three. After I am four, I will be five.”
I said, “And after Mommy is thirty five, she will be __?___”
Alex replied with confidence, “SIXTEEN!”
Oh yes, Alex…you are Mommy’s new favorite child.
I was seventeen for a while, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Then - suddenly - one day I was twenty-seven! Now, alas, I am really thirty-seven.
